Apps
Random chat app, or just your browser
There is no app to install. That is a deliberate choice, not a gap — and for most people it is the better deal.
Why there is no app
MatchWithRandom runs in your mobile browser on Android and iOS. It is not a native app and there is nothing in an app store to download.
That is worth being direct about, because a lot of sites in this category advertise an app and then hand you a wrapper around the same web page.
What you give up by not installing an app
Being straight about the trade-off: a native app can send you push notifications, sit on your home screen by default, and hold a background connection. If those matter to you, an app-first service like Azar or Monkey will suit you better.
What you get instead
The browser version has real advantages that app stores tend to obscure:
- Nothing installed means no app permissions, no background data and no storage taken.
- No app store account, and nothing appearing on a shared family purchase history.
- No install step between hearing about the site and using it.
- Uninstalling is closing a tab.
- You can add it to your home screen from your browser menu and get most of the app feel anyway.
Common questions
Is there a MatchWithRandom app?
No. It runs in the mobile browser on Android and iOS with nothing to install.
Can I add it to my home screen?
Yes. Use your browser menu — "Add to Home Screen" on iOS Safari, or "Install app" / "Add to Home screen" on Android Chrome.
Does it work properly on mobile?
Yes. The interface is built for mobile widths first, and video supports front and rear cameras on devices that have them.
Which random chat apps are worth using?
If you specifically want a native app, Azar and Monkey are the two largest app-first options. Both require an account, and both use a paid currency for their better features.
