Shagle alternative: no membership above the free one

Shagle needs no account to start, the same as us. Its gender and location filters are the premium tier, and that is the real difference.

What Shagle is

Shagle is a random video chat service that treats not requiring an account as one of its defining features. Its own site says allowing you to experience random chat without requiring you to create an account is one of the things that makes it unique.

It offers a gender filter that lets you chat with only girls, guys or couples, and a location filter alongside it. Both are described as premium features.

Notably it is browser-only. Its own site states that it works through a browser so you can chat anywhere, but that there is no dedicated app for iOS or Android — the same position we are in, and unusual for a service of its size.

What it costs and what it asks for

No account to start. Shagle states this as a deliberate feature rather than burying it, and confirms you are 18 or older at the start button.

The premium membership is what unlocks the gender and location filters. Its FAQ is direct about it: gender filters are available for premium members.

  • No account required to start chatting
  • Premium membership for gender and location filters
  • Browser-only — no dedicated iOS or Android app, by their own statement
  • 18+, confirmed at the start button

Where Shagle is the better choice

  • Gender and location filters, which we do not offer at any price.
  • A far larger user base than a new site can offer.
  • Years of operating history and the moderation experience that comes with it.
  • Like us, it asks for no account, so you give nothing up on that axis by choosing it.

Where MatchWithRandom is

  • No premium tier, so nothing you might want turns out to need a membership.
  • Text chat as a full mode. Shagle is built around video.
  • Message text is not stored once a chat ends.
