ChatBlink describes itself as a place to meet new friends through chat rooms and a random chat service. Its homepage title reads "Meet New Friends, Chat & Date", and it runs a dedicated dating chat room alongside its general rooms. About 49,500 people a month search for it in the US.
Its random chat page is a one-on-one room where, in its words, you can start chatting and share pictures without registration. It also has free text chat rooms, a report tool with reasons such as spam and harassment, and a dark mode. The pages we checked carry advertising slots.
Accounts are part of the design. The homepage offers sign-up with Google or with a form asking for your gender and age, and says registration takes less than a minute.
The chat rooms and the random chat both say they work without registration, after you pick your gender and age and confirm you are 18 or older. ChatBlink’s chat rooms page adds that registering unlocks more: private messages, group chats and random chat. Its random chat page, by contrast, says that mode works without registration, so the two pages do not quite agree.
We did not find a paid tier. The site is supported by advertising, and its dating room page says it has no subscriptions, upgrades or hidden fees.
